I have been working in the construction industry for over 20 years, providing cost and project management services for high end residential, commercial and oil and gas projects.

The last 10 years I have mostly concentrated on high end residential and groundworks, working directly for both Private Clients and also builders.
 
In 2019 and 2020 I was appointed as Client Representative, Cost and Project Manager for 2 large Country Estates in Hampshire and the Cotswolds directly by our clients, which involved an extensive refurbishment of the Main Houses approx 15,000ft2 and 13,000fts respectively, we completed both houses with our clients moving into their new homes in November 2021. Works continued with the estates to 2023.
 
Prior to 2019 I worked with a Building Company for 3 years delivering high end residential properties in London, coordinating the labour on each site, scheduling the subcontractors for each project, managing the costs and establishing day to day systems for orders and cashflow management for the company. These 3 years gave me incredible insight into the day to day operation of projects on site, the importance of asking for the needed information timely to keep works moving and also understanding the skills and personalities of those carrying out the work and design and what the team needed day to day.
 
The beginning of my career was spent largely on commercial projects including oil and gas, I was fortunate to be involved in projects that required specific analysis and solutions to be presented and approved for implementation, often to stakeholders and board of management. My analysis not only needed to be based on live data but also ready to implement, it was in these projects in my 20's and 30's that I really learned how to take in information, think about the situation and develop a strategy to proceed to the required outcome.
